Sydney, 10 August 2004 – Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Steven Skala as Vice Chairman, Australia and New Zealand.
In announcing the appointment Deutsche Bank’s Australia and New Zealand Chairman Clive Smith said “We are very pleased to announce Steven’s appointment. The seniority, talents and experience that Steven brings can only be an asset to our organisation”.
Skala is one of Australia's foremost commercial lawyers. He has spent the last 20 years with leading law firm Arnold Bloch Leibler where he was principal adviser to many major Australian companies. Active beyond the law, he also sits on the boards of several public and not-for-profit organisations.

Skala will be based at Deutsche Bank’s Melbourne office beginning his role on 1 September 2004.
